"If they were to do real investigations we would see several
significant high level criminal prosecutions in this country. And
that is something that they are not going to let out. And,
believe me; they will do everything to cover this up."

Philip Giraldi: What FBI whistle-blower
Sibel Edmonds found in translation

Prior to 2006, Rep. Henry Waxman of the House
Government Reform and Oversight Committee
allegedly promised Ms. Edmonds that if the
Democrats gained control of Congress, he
would order hearings into her charges. But
following the Democratic sweep, he has been
less forthcoming. It is suspected that
Mr. Waxman fears that the revelations might
open a Pandora's box, damaging Republicans
and Democrats alike.

In broad daylight on May 2, 1997, 50
armed men set upon a television station
in Istanbul with gunfire.

Consortiumnews.com published a remarkable
story by Martin A. Lee about Turkish
government officials caught in a web of
corruption with notorious drug traffickers
and right-wing terrorists.

Dan Ellsberg slams MSM's failures re
Sibel Edmonds

It appears that after five years the
government's new plan to 'deal with Sibel'
was to start a new whisper campaign, telling
journalists that she stumbled onto a top
secret covert operation! Of course, if any of
the ostensible targets of this purported
sting operation has ever read my blog then
they'd have realized what was going on and
extricated themselves from the operation
years ago. Every possible 'target,' and every
intelligence agency in the world will be
aware of the details of this case - so
there's no possible legitimate justification
for keeping the whole thing under wraps any
more, except to shield the guilty from
accountability for their crimes.

Daily Kos: Sibel Edmonds Case:
Nukes for sale (Pt 2)

As I documented here, it is very possible
that Giza one of those companies. In Kill The
Messenger, an anonymous "U.S intelligence
officer" who is "very familiar with Turkish
espionage activities" - including Giza and
the American Turkish Council - says:

"There are people within the State
Department and also in the U.S Congress
that were facilitating the Israelis and
the Turks in obtaining proprietary
information or restricted technology.

That’s why there is a gag order against
Sibel Edmonds!"

Sibel Edmonds case: Facts and Thanks.

"In existing criminology there are concepts:
a criminal man, a criminal profession, a
criminal society, a criminal sect, and a
criminal tribe, but there is no concept of a
criminal state, or a criminal government, or
criminal legislation. Consequently, the
biggest crimes actually escape being called
crimes." --P. D. Ouspensky

FBI Whistleblower Describes
Government Muscle Tactics

A whistleblower who lost her job and was
gagged by the Bush administration after
revealing careerism, corruption and
widespread incompetence at the FBI detailed
her difficult search for justice to an
audience on Monday at the American Library
Association's annual conference. Sibel
Edmonds, hired by the FBI as a translator
shortly after 9/11, was fired in 2002 after
reporting a range of problems at the bureau

What If the FBI Hired Someone
Honest to Look Into 9/11?

Now, some people may consider the way I'm
characterizing this as maybe outrageous, or
an exaggeration, but I don't know what else
to call it, David. When you have people, for
greed, for money, selling out information,
covering up cases, giving out our true State
Secrets information to entities — whether
or not they're allies, Israel or Turkey or
Pakistan — these people are engaged in
treason.

And these cases are documented, the files,
the wiretaps, go back to 1997, 1998. They are
documented, there are documents, there are
witnesses and we need to expose these people
and we need to see criminal indictments
against these people — and it will
(happen). All we need is for this hearing to
take place, for people to testify, and for
the documents to be introduced, then you're
going to see criminal indictments against
these people.

You can help Sibel Edmonds
& your country, today.

Let Sibel Edmonds Speak is a campaign we've
been running for the last week asking people
to demand that Henry Waxman hold hearings
into former FBI translator and whistleblower
Sibel Edmonds' case and the State Secrets
Privilege.

We've had a lot of support here as people
learn more about Sibel's case, and I ask that
you help turn that energy into hearings by
calling Waxman and Conyers today, Monday, and
Tuesday and we'll be asking Waxman to go on
the record midweek and state that he will
have hearings.

Congressman Waxman:

National Security Whistle
Blowers: The 'Undead'

Edmonds is the former FBI language specialist
who surfaced in June 2002 with a strange tale
of how she had been fired by the Bureau after
telling supervisors that a foreign
intelligence ring had penetrated the
translators’ unit where she worked, among
other sensitive issues.

Now why would they do that?

You can’t find out much, because then-
Attorney General John D. Ashcroft invoked a
"state secrets privilege" to stop her
suit against the FBI for wrongful dismissal.

A gag order prevents her from adding details
to another of her sensational charges, that
government eavesdroppers had intercepted the
Sept. 11 hijackers plans.

Sibel Edmonds, Former Language Specialist;
FBI - Ms. Edmonds worked for the FBI’s
Washington Field Office as a language
specialist with Top Secret Clearance
performing translations for counterterrorism
and counterintelligence operations dealing
with Turkey, Iran, and Turkic speaking
Central Asian countries. She contacted the
9/11 Commission in May 2003 and requested a
meeting to provide them with information
directly related to the terrorist attack. The
Commission investigators refused to meet with
Edmonds and informed her that due to their
limited resources and time they were not
going to interview all witnesses. She was
able to provide the commission with
information and documents only after certain
9/11 family members intervened
directly. Ms. Edmonds’ testimony was
completely censored by the Commission.

Grossman's professional ties with Pakistan
apparently long outlived his nine-year tenure
there. The Guardian, among others, mentioned
the fact that in the days immediately
preceding Sept. 11, 2001, Pakistani ISI chief
Gen. Mahmoud Ahmed – financier of 9/11
hijacker Mohammed Atta – paid a visit to
senior administration officials, including
Grossman, then undersecretary of state for
political affairs.

A Pakistani article published on Sept. 10,
2001, claimed that Ahmed's "most important
meeting was with Mark Grossman, U.S. under-
secretary of state for political affairs.
U.S. sources would not furnish any details
beyond saying that the two discussed 'matters
of mutual interests.'

Edmonds notes that Dickerson had left out any
mention of any previous emlpoyment from her
application for FBI employment. Yet one of
the relevant questions asked in FBI
pre-employment polygraph examinations is,
"Have you deliberately withheld any important
information from your application?"

If Edmonds' allegations are true, then it
would appear that the FBI was indeed
penetrated by a double agent who beat the
polygraph.
Sibel Edmonds One More Time
Referring to the Homeland Security
Department's color-coded warnings instituted
in the wake of 9/11, the former translator,
Sibel Edmonds, told Salon, "We should have
had orange or red-type of alert in June or
July of 2001. There was that much information
available." Edmonds is offended by the Bush
White House claim that it lacked
foreknowledge of the kind of attacks made by
al-Qaida on 9/11. "Especially after reading
National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice
where she said, we had no specific
information whatsoever of domestic threat or
that they might use airplanes. That's an
outrageous lie. And documents can prove it's
a lie."
Attorney General John Ashcroft took yet
another step last week to deep-six the Sibel
Edmonds case by classifying the report of an
investigation into her allegations of FBI
wrongdoing so the public will never know what
it says. Meanwhile, Justice Department
officials met in secret with a federal judge
in Washington, following which he dismissed
her suit charging the FBI with wrongfully
firing her.
A newly disclosed letter confirmed charges by
a former FBI interpreter that she was fired
at least in part because she blew the whistle
on incompetent workers at the bureau.

Sibel Edmonds, an FBI whistleblower who is

Judge Reggie Walton cancelled/postponed the

cited and no future date scheduled. This is
the fourth time he's done this in past two
years!!! However, Dan Ellsberg & I are still

love to see as many people as possible to
gather there for support.
For an example of how Mr. Ashcroft shuts down
public examination, consider the case of
Sibel Edmonds, a former F.B.I. translator who
says that the agency's language division is
riddled with incompetence and corruption, and
that the bureau missed critical terrorist
warnings. In 2002 she gave closed-door
Congressional testimony; Senator Charles
Grassley described her as "very credible
. . . because people within the F.B.I. have
corroborated a lot of her story."
"The next day I would come to work, turn
on my computer and the work would be
gone. The translation would be gone," she
says. "Then I had to start all over again
and retranslate the same document. And I went
to my supervisor and he said, "Consider it
a lesson and don't talk about it to anybody
else and don't mention it."
